Mobile advertising is about to get a little smarter over at InMobi, the largest independent mobile advertising network in town.
On Tuesday, InMobi confirmed its acquisition of Overlay Media – a company teeming with experts in context aware computing. In other words, InMobi is bolstering its platform with specialists in a field that holds the potential to unlock smart mobile advertising to an unprecedented degree.
Overlay Media, which comprises of a team of data scientists, have built the Context Engine technology to deliver personalized content to mobile users.
Financial information related to the deal wasn’t immediately available as of press time.
