Apple had a blockbuster conclusion to 2013. Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley is putting forward a new projection which calls for Apple to have sold a record number of iDevices during the last quarter of 2013- the holiday shopping quarter.
Citing internal data and survey findings, the analyst expects Apple to reveal “very strong iPhone 5s sales” from the 2013 holiday shopping season.
If Walkley’s estimates are correct, Apple had a record holiday quarter. According to the projections, Apple sold 54 million iPhones and almost 25 million iPads. If accurate, that would mean Apple sold in the neighborhood of 80 million iOS devices last quarter.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters call for Apple to earn $43.72 in fiscal 2014 and $47.88 in fiscal 2015.
Apple will next report earnings on January 27th.
